Hunters Pet Guide for World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Expansion

A number of New Hunter Pets Are Available in Mists Of Pandaria.

You know how important it is to have a reliable pet companion in WoW if you’ve had a Hunter as your main since 1.0.

The best thing about every expansion is the addition of new pets with special abilities.

As the closed beta begins, the big question for hunters is: What new will we get? And what special abilities will they have?

Many hunters are now wondering if they will be getting more slots, since most have used up the 20 extra slots in the Cataclysm expansion.

Six new tamable pets are currently in closed beta. Two of them are exotics for those who still have Beast Mastery. This is the complete list:

Porcupine – Special Ability Paralyzing Quill. The porcupine uses a round of quills to paralyze all players within its range for two seconds.

Goat – Blizzard finally got their goat. Or at least gave us one that uses Trample to create a dust cloud that reduces melee attack speed by 20% for 30 seconds.

Crane You will find these guys everywhere in Pandaria, relaxing by the rivers. They have Lullaby which puts your target to sleep for as long as 4 seconds. You can also order them to perform a trick called Trick.

Basilisk These guys have been around every part of the game from its inception. In Mists, you can stop killing them and start to love them.

Petrifying Gaze will transform your target into a stone for three seconds, rendering them immobile and impervious against damage. Unfortunately, this effect only works for your foes.

Water Strider – This exotic is the first and you will need to spec for BM if your own. Two special abilities are available to it:

Still water: Infuses all party members within reach with stillwater, which increases their spellpower and critical strike chance by 10%. Surface Trot allows the hunter or water strider to walk on water for 10 minutes. The effect will be cancelled if there is any damage.

Quillen – The Quillen, another exotic pet, is only found on the Wandering Isle.

Two special abilities are available to the Quillen:

Eternal Guardian : Resurrects a deceased target with 20% health and mana.

Fearless Roar is a buff that grants all party members an additional 5% in critical strike chance
